Creative Approaches to Meaningful Credentials

1. Participants will learn the elements of the Meaningful Credential outlined in the Higher Education Opportunity Act, and how colleges in Western New York TPSID developed meaningful credentials.
2. Participants will learn the process by which one large university system, City University of New York, is approaching the meaningful credential process.

During this webinar participants will learn about the development of Meaningful Credentials and how they are being established in a variety of colleges and university systems. Nationally students with intellectual disabilities are obtaining credentials when exiting college. This important capstone is essential to the following; bringing meaning to the course work completed in college, enhancing the personal and social growth of individuals with intellectual disabilities, and will result in greater value to employers. Join us and learn how to frame your own credential process at your college.
